  Been going here for years while I lived in Dorchester but, still return while I'm in the area. One night a few weeks ago I saw a couple leaving the table seats in the back away from the bar directly across from the booths. The couple was leaving and I was prepared to sit down, no sign that the table was reserved or held for anyone. A man(maybe mgr.)appeared with a 'washcloth' cleaned the table and told me the table was reserved. I asked the waitresses who knew me by sight whom I asked. They walked away refusing to say anything to me. Needless to say extremely rude in my opinion. I will reconsider whether I ever do business in this pub again which was mostly eating. Of course, had anyone had explained differently my response would be different since, I had been a customer of Hancock Tavern for years mostly very friendly atmosphere. I simply will not be treated in this fashion. There are other eateries in the area and I will adjust accordingly too many businesses out there competing for your dollars.
